A Universal Seed is the birthplace where it all began and continues to be the site location for all Los Angeles based workshop series. We are excited to be a part of the Miracle Mile Community which is uniquely magical and uninhibited in its possibilities for growth.


Metamorphic Evolution January 9th-January 30th 2016

A change in form or structure, a remarkable appearance and renewing of kinetic energy best describes the essence of this workshop series. Considering the evolutionary process from egg to caterpillar, to chrysalis, then butterfly we appropriate the principles of this amazing insect to our practical life experiences, applying the good and omitting the destruction while embarking upon a mental, physical, and spiritual flight in our own world to a greater understanding of self.  The workshop seriesbegins a wonderful season of new beginnings for 2016.  Allow yourself the metamorphic experience that only a butterfly would have the audacity and courage to evolve from and fly freer to evolutionary proportions that allow her to live a full and richer life.  



Seuss Revisited February 27th-March 19th 2016

Back By Popular Demand... Join Lady Dawnise Francisco as she once again takes us on a journey into the rhythmic world of Seuss.  Together we will plunge into the world of American born author Theodor Seuss Geisel. Best known for writing children's books for early readers, Seuss possesses an amazing litany of books and poetry written specifically for adults. Last season we read Thidwick the Big Hearted Moose, The Bippilo Seed, and Oh the Places You Will Go! This is a mind changing workshop series as we are able to untangle the rhyme and really understand the message being conveyed in the writings.  Do yourself a favor get a library card and join us in this remarkably surprising literary world of fun    

Dawnise is married and the proud mother of two little people. She is a fully certified and credentialed special education instructor for the Los Angles Unified School District with more than eight years in classroom instruction. She is a member of the Alumni Association of the California State University at Los Angeles which confirmed her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a minor in Special Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Multicultural Multilingual Special Education and a Mild to Severe Special Education Credential with Autism Certification. She is one of the founding members of Getting My Pretty Back.  



A Stitch In Time May 14th-May 21st 2015

Join first time presenter Lady Margarett Barnes as she presents the art of choosing and cutting a pattern, laying out the fabrics of your life, while cutting, sewing, stitching by hand, buttoning, connecting, zipping, fully lining and assembling the broken pieces together to be made whole and brand new all over again. Using the specific vocabulary of the sewing world join Lady Margarett as she expounds the wisdom granted her by universe through the act of creating art by the gifting of her hands.  

Owner, Founder and Creator Of Unique Designs Wearable Art of Carson California Margarett is a self taught seamstress hailing from Jackson Mississippi. She has a double Associates of Arts Degree in Business and Fashion Design and a Bachelors Of Arts Degree in Business Administration.  

Her work can be found and is featured during the Pan African Film Festival and the Pan African Festival in the Baldwin Hills Mall. This workshop offers the participants the walk away knowledge of constructing art as well as the common core of fabric construction.

This workshop teaches us to look more closely at the words that come out of our mouths and even closer at the words we allow to enter our brains and thought patterns. Whatever we say, we say about ourselves. This workshop examines the literary genius of six amazing women who ventured and took the great leap of faith and put pen to paper, prayed and finally published.

Founder Regina Moore is the presenter of this amazing workshop series a lover of words with a plethora of creative energy and an unique ability to see and present the smallest detail in the story while bringing light to dark situations. You don't want to miss this event.
